The Main key to a career for life is your Soft skills



Today's options are much wider than ever before . New businesses which didn't exist a decade or even two ago are doing just fine while the sectors exactly where some of your parents might have found lifelong occupation – manufacturing for instance – are disappearing . 

Our long term future lies in expanding our strong points as a knowledge economy , for example , recently cited economic services professions and also online education as key growth market sectors for the subsequent five years . 

Regrettably though , while we might be striving to be successful as a knowledge economy , the younger generation are continuing to expertise high levels of joblessness , with the youth unemployment rate – among fifteen to 24-year-olds – at present put at a high of fourteen per cent , a lot more than double the 6 per cent nationwide average .

International experience – whether or not through case studies , mentors , cross-campus conjunction or exchange opportunities – is furthermore increasingly important since multinational employers search for international promotion even at the undergraduate stage. 

For those college leavers – or potential postgraduate college students – without a clear response to the question of what they really want to do next , the most significant decision to render may be to not chose a conclusive career or job , but instead an education pathway that should provide maximum contact with the widest range of possibilities including in businesses still in their childhood . 

Prepare yourselves to adjust and to learn and also you'll prepare yourselves for good results – no matter what the industry is .
